What is the best season for diving in Manado?
Diving is possible year-round. March through November offers the best conditions, with calm seas and excellent visibility. December through February can occasionally be affected by monsoon weather, though water temperatures remain a comfortable 26–29°C throughout the year.
What certification do I need to dive in Manado?
Fun Dives require a PADI Open Water certification or equivalent. If you have no experience, you can join a PADI DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) experience or enroll directly in an Open Water course — certification takes just 3–4 days.
How do I get from Manado to Bunaken?
We have our own private jetty at NDC Resort. The speedboat ride to Bunaken dive sites takes approximately 30–40 minutes. Guests do not need to arrange their own transportation — we handle all transfers.
What is the history behind Manado Scuba?
Manado Scuba was founded by Katiman Herlambang in 2003. His father, Loky Herlambang, was a co-founder of NDC (Manado's first dive center) in 1976, and directly contributed to Bunaken becoming a National Marine Park in 1991. In 2024, Manado Scuba returned to operate from NDC.
